WHO AM I?

From a very young age, music has played a significant role in my life, influencing and inspiring me to embark on my own musical journey. Unlike many musicians, I never had formal lessons or learned traditional chords. Instead, I relied on my own intuition and self-teaching methods to navigate the realm of music. My father provided some guidance along the way, offering valuable pointers, but for the most part, I forged my path independently.

Before venturing into writing my own songs, I experimented with samples and MIDI instruments, using them as building blocks to craft my musical creations. These early endeavors were shared on SoundCloud under my first stage name, "Timey." Though those tracks have since been privatized, they represented an important chapter of my artistic development.

Around two years ago, a pivotal moment arrived when I delved into recording music. It was during this time that I created "Light to the Hour," a song that marked my transition to a new stage name, "Forced." Initially released on SoundCloud, it received a very small, but positive response, which encouraged me to re-release it as part of an EP. However, I felt that the remaining songs on the EP didn't quite reach their full potential, and thus, they remained exclusive to that platform.

Following this initial release, I gradually found my stride, steadily producing albums, singles, and a few EPs. As months went by, I expanded my reach beyond SoundCloud, distributing my music to other platforms. With each release, I dedicated myself to honing my craft and creating better and more compelling songs. At this stage, my compositions were predominantly instrumental, as I never considered myself a singer. However, I began to recognize that incorporating vocals added an extra dimension to my music, even though I still harbor doubts about my singing abilities.

It was during this transformative phase that the concept of "French Pleasures" was born. Despite the unconventional stage names I chose for myself, they seemed to work, capturing the essence of my creative identity. "French Pleasures" allowed me to explore new avenues of expression and delve deeper into my musical aspirations.

As I look back on my journey, I realize that my path has been one of continuous growth, experimentation, and the pursuit of improvement. Each stage name represented a different chapter in my artistic evolution, showcasing the diverse styles and approaches I embraced along the way.

While my choice of stage names may seem random, they have come to symbolize the unique and multifaceted nature of my music. They serve as reminders that creative expression knows no bounds and that true artistry can emerge from the most unexpected sources.

As I continue to evolve and refine my musical craft, I am excited to see where this journey will lead me next. The unconventional path I've traveled thus far has shaped my identity as a musician, and I am eager to continue sharing my music under these distinctive stage names, forging connections with listeners who appreciate the sincere and diverse sounds I create.
